Don't Lose Your "Head"

March 26, 2010 Pastor Bill

You are summoned by the King to fill the place. Don't take no for an answer, push and press. 2 Kings 6
1. The loaning of the Axe Head.(6:5) this servant/laborer needs a TOOL to make the building of the new school happen.
A. The compassionate provision-whoever lent this intern the axe somehow had compassion enough to give it.
B. The condition of the provision-the owner of the axe wants it back.
2.The loaning of the axe to the losing
A. The Laborer was diligent in His Working
B. Negligent in his watching. He was so consumed in his work, but negligent (careless) in his watch. Don't get so busy in the work of the Lord that you lose the Lord of the work. When you become so consumed by the work you will more than likely fall into the trap of just functioning, and everything becomes a routine. You can be diligent and yet negligent (careless) at the same time.
3. The locating of the axe head (6:6)
A. The explanation of the Human Problem. It is very easy to lose track, it's part of our human nature to do so. In the moment of the problem the laborer panics (6:5).
B. Application of the divine power. Up to this point they didn't need God's help. But the thing is, it will not get finished without the Lord.

Now when the WORD is working in you, it connects with you, the supernatural anointing is there. The WORD works if you work it, when you build a ministry to save the lost it isn't a fad, it doesn't go out of style.

The intern/laborer/servant lost the axe head, then stopped. ((Now there are things you can do to keep the head from being lost))

Elijah did not do for the "intern" what the "intern" needed to do for himself. Elijah TEACHES the "intern"-get the TOOL whatever it takes.

"I never depend on anybody, I got the TOOL myself. Why? because something was IN me." PB

1 Thess 4:11-12
